Stand Up Comedy
Noel James

mawddach
Noel is a 54 year old charismatic performer whose quick wit, warmth and charm have served him well in the stand up comedy clubs of the UK and overseas.
He has been involved in both performing and writing for theatre, radio and television. His passion for acting stretches beyond the confines of just comedy; his versatility and readiness to learn new skills have opened up other avenues, including presenting and musical entertainment.

"The funniest joke I've ever heard - Almost certainly it was by Noel James. Go and see him live to hear it." - Jon Richardson, The Guardian 2017

From The Shropshire Star, January 2019.
Top-of-the-bill Noel James recently became an overnight sensation after more than 20 years on the comedy circuit thanks to a semi-final finish in Britain's Got Talent.
The Welshman's motormouth style, a constant stream of one-liners, puns and clever wordplay, brought to mind a combinnation of Milton Jones and Eddie Izzard.
The Swansea comedian throws in a few surreal impressions, such as using his guitar bag to turn himself into the Elephant Man before playing the 12 bah blues with an array of sheep noises.
I thought he was bah-rilliant.

pedair

mawddach
We are delighted to present to you: Pedair!
Pedair, feminine form of 'pedwar' ('four' in Welsh) draws on the talents of four of Wales' most prominent and award-winning folk artists: Gwenan Gibbard, Gwyneth Glyn, Meinir Gwilym and Siân James. Groundbreaking international artists in their own right, all four thrive on collaboration and the thrill of live performance. Together they bring to life traditional material with new arrangements on harps, guitars, piano and accordion.
Their live performances have captured the imaginations and hearts of audiences with their sweeping harmonies, fresh interpretations of the Welsh folk tradition, and intimacy of songwriting.
Bringing together their unique gifts as song-tellers, the source material and inspiration from the poetic, oral and folk traditions of Wales and beyond. This is coupled with their deftness as songwriters, responding to the current state of the world, the resilience of nature, with a particular interest in giving voice to the woman.

Mae Pedair yn dwyn yngh?d dalentau pedair o artistiaid gwerin arobryn amlycaf Cymru: Gwenan Gibbard, Gwyneth Glyn, Meinir Gwilym a Siân James. A'r pedair yn artistiaid rhyngwladol blaengar eu hunain, maent yn ffynnu wrth gydweithio a pherfformio'n fyw. Gyda'i gilydd dônt â bywyd newydd i ddeunydd traddodiadol gyda threfniannau newydd ar delynau, gitârs, piano ac acordion.
Mae eu perfformiadau byw wedi cydio yn nychymyg a chalonnau cynulleidfaoedd, gyda'u harmonîau ysgubol, ymdriniaeth grefftus o'r traddodiad, ac agosatrwydd y caneuon maent yn eu cyfansoddi.
Gan gyfuno eu doniau unigryw fel chwedl-ganwyr, maent yn tynnu eu deunydd o'r traddodiad barddol a llafar, yn ogystal â gwerin. Mae hynny'n cyfuno'n naturiol gyda'u crefft fel cantorion-gyfansoddwyr medrus, a'u caneuon gwreiddiol yn ymateb i gyflwr presennol y byd, gwytnwch byd natur, a chyda phwyslais arbennig ar roi llais i'r ferch.
